Parea expeditions have limited capacity and are not open to the public. They're by application or invite only. This is to preserve the magic of the trips, ensuring our values are always met, and the operation isn't over-commercialized.
We prioritize members with entrepreneurial, executive, and/or creative backgrounds for a like-minded member experience.
We hand-select each applicant, and pull together a balanced crew per expedition–so you get the most out of your experience.
If you're selected, you'll have 24 hours to pay your deposit, after which your slot will move on to the next person in line. After a successful application, you'll be the first to be notified of all future expeditions.
Referrals are encouraged.
While each expedition requires a different level of fitness and/or different skills, we do design each expedition so that any participant with a good level of fitness can get through them.
They're designed to be a challenge, so intermediate fitness levels are encouraged.
Details of physical requirements will be outlined on each expedition page. We recommend consulting your physician before attending.
Each expedition is structured similarly, with 2 key components and 4 pillars. The key components are challenge and reward; putting participants through a demanding physical and mental challenge, and then rewarding on the tail end.
We carefully design each expedition to include Parea's 4 core pillars, which are:
- Mental and physical endurance – pushing limits
- Sublime destinations – breathtaking views and experiences
- Camaraderie – great people coming together
- Introspection – on-trip programs to encourage reflection and growth

Each expedition is carefully curated to balance risk and reward. Whilst safety is the utmost priority with Parea, we offer expeditions that are unique and not to be found elsewhere–this almost always includes activities that are riskier than average.
Each expedition requires special adventure insurance coverage required by each participant. The cost of this cover depends on the activities involved and is highly contextual to the expedition itinerary.
We always recommend Covermore as our preferred insurance option.
